RETURN & REFUND POLICY



1. General Provisions

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all products purchased through the Bamboo Soul website, operated by Lanka Venture Solutions (PVT) LTD, a company incorporated under the laws of Sri Lanka (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By placing an order on the Website, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Policy.

2. Handmade Product Disclaimer

All products offered by the Company are handcrafted and made using natural materials, including but not limited to natural rattan and teak wood.

Due to the handmade nature of the products:

- minor variations in color, texture, dimensions, weight, and weaving are natural and expected;

- such variations do not constitute defects and shall not be considered grounds for return or refund.

Product images are provided for reference purposes only.

3. Eligibility for Returns

A return may be considered only if all of the following conditions are met:

- the product is damaged or defective due to manufacturing fault or damage incurred during transit;

- a return request is submitted within 7 (seven) calendar days from the date of delivery;

- the product has not been used, installed, altered, or modified;

- the product is returned in its original condition and packaging.

Failure to meet any of these conditions may result in rejection of the return request.

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable:

- discounted or clearance items;
- products damaged due to improper use, handling, or care.

5. Return Procedure

To initiate a return, the customer must submit a Return Request Form via the Website or contact the Company by email.

The return request must include:

- order number;

- description of the issue;

- photographic evidence of the alleged defect or damage.

Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.
In cases where goods of different types and names are returned, it is necessary to enter information on each of them. After the product name, specify its quantity.

Processing times may vary depending on shipping and payment providers.
6. Return Shipping & Costs

All return shipping costs, including but not limited to:

- transportation fees;

- customs duties;

- import/export taxes;

- handling and clearance charges,

are fully borne by the customer, without exception.

The Company does not provide prepaid return labels.

7. Inspection & Approval

All returned products are subject to inspection by the Company’s specialists upon receipt.

The Company reserves the right to:

- approve or reject the return;

- determine whether the product meets return eligibility criteria.

If the returned product does not comply with the stated conditions, no refund will be issued, and the product may be returned to the customer at their expense.

8. Refund Processing

Refunds are issued only after successful inspection and approval of the returned product.

Approved refunds:

- are processed using the original payment method;

- exclude original shipping costs, customs duties, and any non-refundable fees;

- may take additional time depending on the payment provider or issuing bank.

The Company is not responsible for delays caused by financial institutions.

9. Chargebacks

Customers are encouraged to contact the Company prior to initiating any chargeback or payment dispute.

Unauthorized chargebacks or disputes submitted without prior communication may result in denial of future purchases.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for:

- indirect or consequential losses;

- loss of use or business interruption;

- damages arising from improper handling or installation.

11. Governing Law

This Return & Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
